Submit an Event — Deep Ecology AU/NZ
September 17, 2026Thank you for wanting to share your Deep Ecology or Work That Reconnects event with the Australia/NZ network. This site is volunteer-run, so a few simple things help your event go up quickly and keep the listing spam-free for everyone.
What to send
Please provide, ideally as text ready to publish:
- Title of the event
- Date and time, including timezone (e.g. AEST, NZST) — for online events, please work out the times for both Australian and NZ time zones if you can
- Format: online (Zoom, etc.) or in-person, and if in-person, the location
- A short description — what happens, who it’s for, any experience needed
- Facilitator name(s), with a line or two about who they are
- Cost or dana arrangements
- A banner image or photo, if you have one (landscape works best)
- How people register or RSVP (see below — this is the one essential part)
Registration — please don’t use my personal inbox
All email traffic through the Deep Ecology site comes to one inbox, and I don’t have the capacity to act as an ongoing contact point for other people’s events — checking RSVPs, sending out Zoom links, answering questions, etc.
So the event listing needs its own way for people to register, which is not an email address you use for anything else. Two good options:
- A registration platform — something like Humanitix, Eventbrite, or a Google Form. This is the preferred option: it handles RSVPs for you, keeps your everyday inbox clear, and I can simply link to it from the listing.
- A dedicated, disposable email address, set up just for this event and closed down again afterwards (a free Gmail, iCloud, or Proton address works fine). This keeps any spam contained and away from your regular email.
Please avoid listing a personal or organisational email you use day-to-day — public event listings do get scraped by spam bots over time.
How to submit
Email the details above to tenzin@gaiaforest.org, or use the contact form. Please allow a few days for it to be added — this is a volunteer-run site fitted around retreat and monastic life, not an instant-turnaround service.
With gratitude for the work you’re offering into the network.
